Seems like everyday this month so far its been very hot. So far there's been a few fires in the state...2 of which have been right by my house. Right across the street to be exact. We're all safe, thank goodness and havent had to evacuate yet. I really hate summer now. I used to love it, now I cant stand it. We have at least 3 air coolers going in the house, 2 fans. the coldest room in the house is my bedroom, where we have the kids sleep for nap time. I want my bed back...

Right now I'm trying to keep cool with my 4th glass of ice water and wishing we had something other then that to drink. Its even too hot to clean...and by the time it gets cooler, I'm ready for bed. Go figure.

We also have barely any water pressure since we're on a well. Everyone and there mom wants to use the water on days like this.

I just wish fall would come...and quick.

Ever since my grandfather passed away, I've been having these dreams with him in it. The first one was when my parents came up to visit me and my family here in Washington and in the dream everyone, including grandpa and grandma, were in the van, heading up to Mount Saint Helens.

I had another dream last night that I was working at a television studio (all my dreams I'm either working or going back to High School...and i dont know why.) and I happen to look at a monitor and my dad is on a game show..it looked something like Jeopardy! but no Alex Trebek. So I go into the studio where the show is being filmed and I see Dad on stage, my Mom and Grandma Maria sitting at a table like judges and sitting on a bench behind the cameras, Papa Tony was sitting there, waiting to talk to me. I never got to know what he wanted to talk to me about because I was awaken by my kids playing out in the living room.

I've never had a dream like this before, and i want to cry when I think about it, but I cant. My eyes wont let me.

I've never had an angel enter my dreams before...until now.

I feel like I'm in some really bad dream that i cant wake up from. I miss him so much. I wish I could be in Colorado right now for everything and everyone. I feel so horrible not being able to be with them right now, almost feel useless.

A bunch of my on line bowling friends on pogo.com have been very supportive of me. I love them dearly. Slowly I am accepting the fact that papa's gone. I looked up at the sky today, saw a cloud that i could have sworn looked like an angel. It had to be papa looking down on everyone.

I feel almost guilty as well that i never said goodbye or that i loved him. I feel like such a horrible grand daughter.

I wake up this morning at 5 am to find my husband sitting in the livingroom watching tv. He was supposed to be hunting with his brother..find out his brother woke up late and didnt show up at our house until 8 this morning. Ok, fine. But I thought my husband and I were going to spend the day together...I guess not.

He's finally out hunting now, who knows when he'll be home. Kids are supposed to be taking naps right now, but aren't. I've tried everything...I give up.

All cleaning is done for the day and boredom has set in majorly. Now the real question remains, "to go on neopets.com or play games on pogo.com". Which are both running slow today...but I think it's just my internet.
Another Christmas has come and gone so quickly that it seemed that all you had to do is blink and it was gone. It seemed a long wait, especially for the kids. After the cat tearing down the ornaments on the tree and me putting the ornaments back up, Santa had come and left bunches of presents for the kids to open. Which it seems I am still cleaning up the aftermath of the entire new toys process. I missed everyone back home in Colorado (and spent a great deal of crying because of being homesick in the process), but i had a wonderful Christmas here with my husband and his family. I was even able to hold my neice a couple times too. I was so happy. I'm going to spoil that girl rotten when she gets old enough.

Even spent a weekend (out of pure boredom) finding some old friends and family on myspace.com (auntie, if you're reading this, I did send you a friend request on myspace :D).

Now I must go to bed, I got the best Christmas present ever (and yes, that is sarcasm).
This weekend was supposed to be a nice fun weekend for me, since it was my last full weekend here in Colorado. First off, joy of all joys, Friday I get my monthly visit from my "friend". Things started off badly then. I was sick, it started getting way too hot (temperatures now a very hot 95 degrees, nothing I'm used too for Colorado weather.)
Yesterday was really fun. As I've wrote about before, my friends Christian and Chris were to get married yesterday. Out off all the running about, buying wedding things, this doesn't happen. I get a call yesterday morning from Christian stating that there wasn't going to be a wedding and that it was postponed until a later day. "A later day". I knew this wasn't going to be a good day after all, especially waiting all day for her call me and let me know what was going on.
She does try to keep a promise though, that she, Chris and I were going to all see a midnight showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show last night. As you can probably guess, this never happens. Christian, in all her costumed glory, arrives at my house about 9.30 last night and we leave to go to Chris's dad's house to get Chris who's doing laundry. After about 45 minutes or so there, Christian and I go back to my house so I can change, this is about 10.30 or so...and we were already supposed to be on the road by then. I'm thinking, "we're never going to make the pre show." We never made anything.
Chris ends up at my house at 11.30 and says that we couldn't go because they didn't have the money. By this time, I'm pissed and ready to go to bed. We end up going to Wal*mart instead, Christian still in her costumed glory.
Another thing that totally pisses me off is that on our way back from Wal*mart, we drove by a bar next to it called the Wolf's Den and I see my "friend" Shaunna standing out side. I let her know that me and the kids will be flying back to Washington on Saturday and wanted to know if she wanted to hang out before I left. Her response: "Oh, if I find the time, I'll come by."
If she finds the time?? I'm ticked to no end now. She certainly can find the time to go to the bar and get drunk, but some how has to find the time to visit a friend she hasn't seen in a year and a half?
There's so much more to say, but my fingers hurt from ranting. I should really get to sleep.

Ever since the One Eyed Jack's gig on Saturday, it's been a pretty busy week and it's not even Friday yet. Sunday I went out with my friend Christian and her fiance Chris shopping and went out to eat lunch at Chili's. I had a great time that day, though when I went back to Christian's house, I could have sworn I've seen the start of World War 3, but I don't think I will get into that now.
Monday was a day of resting, so nothing too big happened there. Tuesday, however, mom, dad, darien, cale and I went up to the Denver Zoo. That was a lot of fun and we spent a good 4 and a half hours there. We saw lots of baby animals there, a baby giraffe, gorilla and baby bears. We also saw a couple baby geese as well. It was so cute when we saw the baby gorilla, cale pointed to it and said "baby, baby!" The most adorable thing ever!
Yesterday, my grandparents took me and my boys to a place called Mr Biggs Bigg City. That was interesting. I was able to play a couple games of DDR though, that was great. We took the kids into a kids playground which had a lot of little play stations. Even had a giant sand box. That was great.
Today, my parents took me and the kids to the North Pole Santa's work shop. So much happened, but I don't have a lot of time to type about it.
Tomorrow we're going out again and I'm going shopping with my friend Christian before Saturday when she and Chris are getting married!

I've gotta go now, kids are getting rambunctious.

Last night I finally went to go see my dad's band the One Eyed Jack's perform. It was so much fun. The bar that they were playing at was nice as well, a place called the Dublin House. I sat in front near the sound guy and just enjoyed the show. After meeting the band, I came to one conclusion: I was never going to meet a nice group of guys ever.

They did a lot of really good songs ranging from Lynyrd Skynyrd's Gimme Three Steps to Tom Petty's Mary Jane's Last Dance. I even had a song dedicated to me. A song called Tulsa Time. Not sure why, but it was great.

I have big plans for today as well. My best friend and I are going shopping today and then after that, my mom, dad, and both of my boys are going to go and visit my grandfather in the hospital.

I better get going. Darien and Cale will be back with my grandparents on my dad's side after spending the night with them while I went out and partied ^_^ plus I have to get ready for the day as well. I will post more when I get the chance.

Love, peace and bullet proof marshmallows

~~~+> Lulu
Day 5 of actually having my butt sitting in Colorado
Already made it to my fifth day of my Colorado vacation with the boys and all is fine, except for the fact that it has rained ever since I got here. On the trip down we went through four really good rain storms and now I think the rain has followed us all the way down here. I wish it would stop here and make it's way towards Yakima, WA. We could really use the rain there. I joked with my dad that I would send all the rain up there and put a note in the sky "To Yakima and Wapato, with love!".
Speaking of which, I'm really starting to miss my husband and everyone up there. I've never been this far away from him since we got married. I nearly had a good cry last night about him, but I was too tired too. I'm sure he's out having fun with his friends like I'm having a great time with mine.
I've seen almost all of my friends already this week. Tuesday my best friend Christian and her sister and I went to do a bit of shopping. We met up with my friend Eleonor too. That was fun. The next night Christian and I went out again, this time to Walmart and ended up stopping at a bar called the Wolf's Den. No drinking was done by us, just went in to see if a friend of mine was there. She was actually, sitting there counting quarters and sipping beer, a pitcher beside her. I shook my head when I saw this, but smiled. It was good to see her again. Jokingly I asked her if she came around there often. Her answer was "just about every day." I didn't know what to think about that, my smile dropped a bit. I really wished she would have something better to do than sit at a bar all night.
I'm excited about tonight,I finally get to watch my dad's band perform. It should be fun times. I'll write some more tomorrow if I get the chance.
I finally made it back home for about three weeks after being gone a year. It's so good to be home again. The trip was long though. On Saturday 07/03 my mom and dad flew in to the Seattle airport and drove down to Yakima. That night we had a bbq and then went shopping. Sunday morning started the drive from Yakima to Colorado Springs. It was way too long. We spent the night at a hotel in Utah on Saturday and were ready to go again yesterday morning.
Now that I'm finally back home, I miss my husband (he had to stay in Washington because of work. :'( ) I wish that he was able to be here with me. Though we have promised to try to call each other every night.
Some bad news has happened since I've been gone though. My husband told me on the phone yesterday that our dog Pepper had been run over by a car on the freeway Monday night. I almost did not want to believe it, but it is true. He told me that people were shooting off fireworks and she got spooked and ran into the freeway of all places and got hit. I wish I could have been home with her. I don't know what she was doing outside in the first place, I couldn't be more ticked off than I was when I heard.
It's been on my mind all night, and I have not been able to sleep yet. My eyes are tired from crying and she keeps running through my mind like she always ran through the house. I miss her so much. I don't think I could get another pet for awhile. First we lost our pet chameleon a month ago and now Pepper. I'd hate to think about what's next, the do say that things like these come in threes.
I think I will go and try to get some rest now.
Goodnight my Pepper Ann. I love you and I miss you. Thank you for making me feel better when I missed my pets here in Colorado and thank you for keeping me company when the boys were sleeping and daddy was at work. I will never forget you my little "P-chan".
Wow, it's been like forever since my last post and I have no idea where to start. I guess I should start where I left off. We left Colorado on March 31, 2005. Drove through the icy patch which is known as Monument Hill and as soon as we got too Denver, it was clear. I think that God was looking over us that day. We finally arrived in Yakima, Washington on April 1. We lived at my husband's grandparents for 10 months until recently we had finally moved into our own place. Many things happened since we've been here. After a month of searching for a job I had finally gotten one at call center for Maytag to schedule appointments. I have been working for Maytag for 8 months now.
My grandparents on my dad's side came down to visit during a couple days in July and my parents came down to visit for about a week in September. Those were great times and to top it all off, my best friend is coming to visit me in two weeks for my birthday. Yay!
I have so much to talk about, yet, not a lot of time to type it all in. I think I'm going to get a jump on the dishes. I've still got a box of them to wash. I will type more when I get a chance.
----Lulu
Well, it's official. We have to be out of our apartment on March 31st and I don't think we're even half way ready. I am looking forward to moving though. I get to see hubby's family again plus I will see my friend Mary whom I haven't seen in six, maybe seven years.
Okay, let me level with you all: I'm scared to leave. I've never known anything but Colorado. I'm scared that something will happen with the kids. I'm scared that Mount Rainier and Mount St. Helens are both going to blow their tops... I keep telling myself that everything will be fine. I just don't know if I can trust myself at times..
Ok, so I get this news like a week or so ago that my husband wants to move back up to Yakima, Washington. The first thing that goes through my mind pretty much is "when are we leaving and how soon can you get a job up there?"
Don't get me wrong, I love Colorado and all, but I think it's time for a change of scenery. I loved being in Washington when Vernon and I were still "dating" (if that's what you call chatting on aol for hours at a time before we went to sleep). I'm looking forward to it. To seeing my friend Mary again whom I haven't see in years. Plus I can see my in laws and get a new view on life.
My kids can finally meet their Great Grandparents as well. It will be good for them.
One thing kinda worries me though: will I find a job up there? I do have a feeling I will though, seeing that there really isn't much here in Colorado right now. And that I will miss everyone down here. It's what's best for my family and I that we do move though. It's gonna kill me seeing mom and dad cry. (Goddess, I hate being  in an emotional family sometimes). I will keep everyone posted on what's going on though.
Love,
Harmony aka Lulu
    <lj:music>Pink Floyd- Nobody Home</lj:music>
Top 5 reasons why I hate my apartment building, especially now:
5. Leaving the fan on even during the winter. We live on the third floor, heat comes up from the first and second floor. -_-
4. The laundry room is down on the first floor. In the other building it's on the third floor. I wonder why?
3. Old German ladies. Every time they see me, they try to tell me how much it takes to raise two kids...or ask me which one's a boy and which is a girl. ><
2. There's usually a huge booming sound above my apartment and I have no idea where it comes from.
AND THE NUMBER 1 REASON I HATE THIS PLACE:
They never tell us when the water will be turned off for repairs anymore.
It used to be we'd get a notice. Like it would say something like "The water will be turned off tomorrow at 8:00 am to 1:00 pm." But there is nothing like that anymore. So I don't know when I need to get some extra water or not. It especially sucks now since I have a three month old and I have to make a bottle for him when he's hungry. Dammit. I really wish they would give us some notice.
And here's the real kicker. I go to my friends apartment to get some water. As soon as I get back to my place, it's back on. All I have going through my mind right now is "double ewe tee eff".
Things will get better, I hope.
Love, Harmony aka Lulu
